Pinnacle Village, through its PV Ortigas outreach ("we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of our members and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
2. Personal Information We Collect
When you fill out our Member Registration Form, we collect the following personal information:
- Full name (first name and last name)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Home address (optional)
- Membership status and duration
- Huddle group participation status
- Ministry involvement status
- Prayer requests and notes (optional)
3. Purpose of Data Collection
Your personal information is collected and processed for the following purposes:
- Membership Management — To maintain an accurate record of our church community members.
- Community Engagement — To connect you with relevant small groups (huddles), ministries, and church activities.
- Pastoral Care — To respond to prayer requests and provide spiritual support.
- Communication — To send you relevant updates about church gatherings, events, and community activities.
- Ministry Coordination — To help match you with service opportunities aligned with your interests.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data based on your explicit consent, which you provide by checking the consent box on our registration form. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your personal data is stored in:
- Google Sheets — hosted on Google Drive with access restricted to authorized PV Ortigas leaders only.
- Local browser storage — temporarily, only when an internet connection is unavailable.
We implement appropriate organizational and technical security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Access to your data is limited to authorized church leaders who need it for legitimate ministry purposes.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- With your explicit consent.
- When required by law or legal process.
- With other Pinnacle Village leaders for the purposes stated above, on a need-to-know basis.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as you remain an active member of our community, or until you request its deletion. Inactive records may be archived or deleted after 3 years of no activity, unless you request otherwise.
8. Your Rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the following rights:
- Right to be Informed — You have the right to know how your data is being collected and processed.
- Right to Access — You may request a copy of your personal data that we hold.
- Right to Correction — You may request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to Erasure — You may request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes stated.
- Right to Object — You may object to the processing of your personal data.
- Right to Data Portability — You may request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Right to File a Complaint — You may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) if you believe your rights have been violated.
9. How to Exercise Your Rights
To access, correct, delete, or inquire about your personal data, you may contact us through:
- Speaking directly with a PV Ortigas leader during any gathering.
- Sending a request via the contact information provided by your huddle leader or ministry coordinator.
We will respond to your request within 30 days.
10. Consent Withdrawal
You may withdraw your consent to data processing at any time by contacting us through the channels listed above. Upon withdrawal:
- We will stop processing your personal data for the purposes described.
- We will delete or anonymize your records within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
- Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
